Castelnaudary is a bustling market town on the Canal du Midi (world heritage UNESCO site) deep in Cathar country. Just 10 minutes by Motorway from Carcassonne (yet another UNESCO site), 30 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and 30 minutes from Toulouse. Ideally situated for skiing, golf, walking and chilling out. There is something here for everyone. Accommodation is in the form of a three story town house comprising of three double bedrooms. From the first and second floors you will enjoy un interrupted views overlooking the Grand Bassin, sprawling countryside and the snow capped Pyrenees mountain range. Some of the rooms boast the original stone and timber walls giving the house character. All windows have roller shutters, which help keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. A tiled floor stretches right through the house, the living room still has the original black & white tiles whilst the remainder of the house is covered in cool terra cotta. Town gas central heating with hot water on demand is ideal for those cosy winter stays whilst skiing. A wooden staircase winds its way through the centre of the house, where a window in the mezzanine floor allows light to stream in to the heart of the house from the roof skylight.
